For Atour Hotel in Shanghai, developed with MUDA Architects and the Atour team, the lighting had to work beyond a single site: it was conceived as an approach that could be repeated across many of the brand's hotels. Practicality, flexibility and sustainability guided every decision.
In the guest areas, warm light creates a modern, welcoming atmosphere, with recessed downlights and decorative fixtures drawing attention to the key features of the interior. The meeting hall receives brighter, functional light for business use without losing the warmth that carries through the rest of the hotel.
